Meet Jewel!

Meet Jewel!

Meet Jewel.

Jewel was found wandering around all on her own. She wandered up in a sweet lady’s yard that knew she needed help. One of our ARRF followers contacted us to help. They are about 175 miles south of us. We had to help save this “Jewel”. One of our crew members met them and took her straight to our veterinarian. After assessing Jewel, we found that her jaw was completely dislocated early in her life. Fortunately, she was able to compensate because her jaw injury is nonrepairable. She also has a badly broken leg. Because it wasn’t fixed, her bones fused together leaving her with a badly deformed unrepairable leg. It will have to be amputated. We currently are treating her for infections and heart worms. We will then send her for surgery to amputate her leg. She shows no signs of pain and gets around really well. The bones did fuse, just not in the right place. This girl endured this terrible life and is one of the sweetest pups ever. She has every reason in the world not to trust people. She knows now that there are some good people that are on her side. We adore this sweet girl and want her to have the perfect family. She deserves this and so much more.

Our sweet “Jewel” of a pup, warms your heart as soon as she walks in the room.
